The incident took place around 8:15 a.m. Monday when Geijon Willams fired a gun in the direction of Dunbar school, at 445 Union Ave,, as he was attempting to shoot his mother's boyfriend, said Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police.
One bullet did penetrate through a school window and into a classroom in the school, he said.
"We are amazingly lucky that no one was hurt," Harris said.
The school was briefly on lockdown and the shooter was arrested. He is facing a number of very serious charges, including attempted murder, Harris added.
